HIGH POINT, N.C. — Crews responded to a house fire in High Point on Wednesday afternoon.

The fire was reported at 2320 Brentwood St.

There were three people in the home — a 2-year-old, a 4-year-old and someone watching over them.

When they heard the fire alarm they ran out of the house.

The fire chief was just down the road and was on the scene within moments after the call. He said the house is a total loss but no one was injured.

The American Red Cross is now assisting the family.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
