Many families plan to shop on Thanksgiving for deals

Thanksgiving Day is becoming a pre-Black Friday, with several stores extending their sales opening as early as 4p.m. Thursday.

Wal-Mart and Kohl’s start their doorbuster sales at 6 p.m. Thursday with discounts on everything from clothing to toys and electronics.

Toys “R” Us opens at 5 p.m. Thursday and will remain open continuously until 11 p.m. Saturday.

Old Navy opens at 4 p.m. offering 50 percent off on everything in the store.

The National Retail Federation predicts approximately 140 million Americans will shop online and in stores on Thanksgiving weekend.
