Car belonging to missing Rowan Co. woman found burned
ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — The car belonging to Rowan Co. woman missing since October was found completely burned Sunday morning in Sampson County.
Elisha Walker, 20, has not been seen or heard from since Oct. 23, deputies said.
A silver 2000 Pontiac Sunfire that belonged to Walker was located near Clinton, N.C. The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office discovered the vehicle, completely burned but was unable to verify the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) until Monday, due to the severe burned state of the vehicle.
Investigators with the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office believe that the vehicle was intentionally set on fire by someone.
The search for Walker continues. She is described as a 5′ 8″ and 120 pounds.
Sampson County Sheriff’s Investigators are canvassing the areas where the vehicle was located to determine if there are any witnesses or information about this investigation that will help locate Walker.
