BURLINGTON, N.C. -- If you want to score big this Black Friday, you don't have to be a seasoned pro, but you do need a well thought out plan.
"It's like people who hunt in the morning; we get up that day and hunt for our bargain. We save a lot of money on our Black Friday deals," said Stormy Dove, a veteran Black Friday shopper.
Dove and her cousin, pal and Black Friday bargain buddy Penny Murray, shop the sales all day Friday and score big.
They're sharing their secrets for Black Friday success so you, too, can save. First, they say to do your research. "Circle the ads and then go to the stores' websites so you can map it out. Sometimes electronics are in the grocery section. You have to know where the items are that you want."
The day of, they get to the stores way early and are prepared, with cars gassed up and they've had lots of coffee. They have a team of four. Their husbands are their scouts and drivers. Their biggest piece of advice? Team up. Don't even think of going Black Friday shopping by yourself.
"You have to wait in line for the TV's and you have to get a ticket and you have to have a buddy in the store hovering over the pallet that they unwrap, so you can get those items," said Murray. "It's all about getting a good deal, having a good time and making the kids happy. You don't always get what you want, but sometimes you get lucky."
