Man charged with trying to escape Guilford County jail

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A man whom High Point police arrested late last week in connection with thefts and break-ins of motor vehicles faces a charge of trying to escape from the High Point jail, according to the Greensboro News & Record.

Quinton Donnell Blocker, 31, of High Point, faces a charge of escape from county jail, according to online documents.

At about 8 p.m. Wednesday, Blocker was seen in a place where he was not allowed in a part of the Guilford County jail in High Point, said sheriff’s office Col. Randy Powers.

“He got spotted, and we went into lockdown and caught him,” Powers said.
