App State student found dead, second in a week

BOONE, N.C. — Boone Police responded to an unattended death of an Appalachian State University student Tuesday.

Grayson Charles Huffman, 22, was found dead at his residence at 270 Oak St.

At this time no foul play is suspected, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.

Last week, another Appalachian student was found dead.

Jeremy A. Sprinkle, 18, of Kernersville, was found dead in the Lovill residence hall.

Appalachian State University Police said no foul play is suspected in his death.
