NC girl fight caught on video, mother charged with encouraging incident

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. -- Police have charged a mother with encouraging two teenage girls to fight, according to WTVD.

Holly Springs police said the incident was reported to them around 9 p.m. Friday night. Investigators said the altercation was part on an ongoing dispute that started at school.

Darlene Holland, 49, was charged with aiding and abetting simple assault. According to her LinkedIn profile, Darlene Holland is an experienced Christian crisis counselor.

Her 17-year-old daughter, Danielle, was charged with simple assault along with 16-year-old Hazel Spingola.

Both girls attend Middle Creek High School in Apex.
