Elections director in NC county charged with assaulting a female

WILMINGTON, N.C. – An elections director in a North Carolina county is in jail for allegedly assaulting a woman.

WECT-TV reported that Marvin Neil McFayden, 44, is currently being held in jail by the Wilmington Police Department. He currently serves as the New Hanover County Board of Elections director.

The suspect has court planned for Monday. Police arrested him late Saturday night, according to WWAY-TV. He is being held without bond.
