Foods on a potential prenatal ‘do-not-eat list’ in England include ice cream, sushi, peanuts, licorice, milk and herbal teas.

According to Yahoo, pregnant women there could face fines or jail time for eating certain foods and drinking certain beverages including unpasteurized cheese, undercooked foods, caffeine or alcohol.

The proposals come after a council charged a mom who drank vodka and beer every day while pregnant with her now 6-year-old daughter.

The girl suffers from several major health problems. If the mother is found guilty, the child could be owed damages.
