Shooting reported at Davidson County residence

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — Police are responding to a reported shooting at a Davidson County residence.

The shooting happened at 1374 Norman Shoaf Road northeast of Midway, according to Davidson County EMS.

According to Sheriff David Grice, the incident was the result of a home invasion.

Joshua Parrett, 25, of the residence, was shot in the leg by one of two suspects. He was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Grice said the suspects are no threat to the rest of the community and knew the victim.
