Crews investigating fire, possible explosion at NC ambulance company

JEFFERSON, N.C. — Officials are investigating after a fire broke out Monday at a facility that houses a company who designs and builds ambulances.

Crews believe there may have been an explosion at American Emergency Vehicles (AEV) in Jefferson.

The fire reportedly started in the painting booth. There is no word on cause of the fire.

There are reported injuries, but details were not available.
