JERSEY CITY, N.J. — A man delivering sheet rock to a construction site was killed in a freak accident in Jersey City on Tuesday morning, according to the Jersey Journal.
A worker on the 50th floor of a building under construction dropped a one-pound tape measure that struck and killed the man around 8:45 a.m.
The man was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center in serious condition and died a short time later. He has not been identified.
The construction site is the future home of two 50-story residential towers with a hotel attached to one of them, called 70-90 Columbus Drive.
