Several robberies reported in Greensboro on Sunday

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Several robberies were reported in Greensboro on Sunday, including two at two different stores.

Police said the Rite Aid pharmacy at 2403 Randleman Road and the Walgreens at 300 E. Cornwallis Drive were both robbed on Sunday.

The Rite Aid incident was reported around 1 p.m. Employees said that a man came in and demanded cash. He allegedly took an undisclosed amount and fled to a gold sedan occupied by a woman.

The Walgreens was robbed at around 5:30 a.m. A clerk said he had been approached by a man who implied he was armed and demanded cash. The suspect allegedly took some property and ran off.

Two robberies were also reported on Cunningham Street on Sunday, though Greensboro police did not say whether they were related.

In the first robbery, reported at 5:30 a.m., two men said they were robbed near 1501 Cunningham St.

Police said they said they were approached by two other men, one of whom had a handgun. The two suspects allegedly took property from the victim and ran off.

In the second robbery, reported at 8 a.m. one man said he was approached by three other men outside of 1404 Cunningham St.

One of suspects had a silver handgun and after taking some property the three ran off, according to police.
