FRANKLIN, N.C. — Police in Franklin are asking for help finding a missing mother and her 2-year-old son, according to WLOS-TV.

Officials said Makeda Richardson, 24, and her son Xavier haven’t been heard from since Sunday night.

Investigators said on Monday, Richardson called the McDonald’s where she worked, telling a manager she was moving to Georgia — where her mother lives — to get away.

“Her mother informed me that she has bi-polar and learning disabilities and is kind of concerned because she has no means of travel,” said Franklin Police Chief David Adams. “(Her) cell phone has not been used since Sunday evening.”

Anyone with any information can call Franklin police at (828) 524-2864.
