Man shot, killed in Reidsville home identified

REIDSVILLE, N.C. — A man shot multiple times inside a Reidsville home Wednesday morning has died, according to police.

Police responded to a residence on Circle Drive around 8:20 a.m. where they found man in his 20s suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was later identified as Patrick Simmons, 24, of Reidsville.

Two other young adults were inside sleeping at the time of the shooting, police say.

Simmons was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Officials say Simmons and the shooter probably knew each other.
