FRESNO, Calif. — An unidentified man was heralded as a hero after he carried a man out of burning home in California on Saturday.

The fire broke out at a home in Fresno around 8 a.m. Beth Lederach captured a five-minute video of the raging house fire.

A woman who lived in the home told Lederach her dad was still inside, according to the Fresno Bee.

The unidentified rescuer walked up to the home (around the :49 mark in the video), saved the man (around the 1:27 mark in the video) and then disappeared minutes later.

“He just calmly walked right in there and then came walking right back out with this guy,” Lederach told the Fresno Bee.

Several other strangers also responded to the home before firefighters arrived at the scene.

The blaze caused $100,000 in damage to the home.

No one was seriously injured.
