SHELBY, N.C. — State and local investigators spent much of Saturday searching for an escaped inmate named Hoyle Mincey.

At one point, reported WSOC, 45 officers searched by air and on ground with K-9s.

They said Mincey is a convict who escaped from Wateree Correctional Institution last weekend. He was serving a sentence for burglary.
