Pedestrian fatally struck in hit-and-run in Greensboro parking lot

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A Greensboro man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle in a parking lot of a shopping center Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the hit-and-run around 11:21 a.m. in the parking lot of 4118 Spring Garden Street. The address belongs to West Market Shopping Center, which appears to house a Cato and a Badcock & More store.

Donice Lee Allred, 59, died at the scene from his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
