Five injured in Davidson County crash

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Five people were injured after a vehicle crash in Thomasville Wednesday evening.

Police responded to the accident around 7:02 p.m. in the area of Baptist Children’s Home Road near Farmview Road.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash. The details of the accident were not released.

Five people were transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center by Life Flight with serious injuries.

The driver of a 2006 Toyota 4 Runner, Jessica Harris, 31, of Thomasville, along with the front seat passenger, Brian Harris, 38, of Thomasville, and two children were also injured as a result of the crash.

Both Jessica and Brian are being treated Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

The other passengers, a three-year-old and 16-year-old, suffered minor injuries and were treated and released.

The driver of the 2003 Audi, Patrick L. Baynes, 24, of Walnut Cove, has been treated and released from the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
