Yadkin Co. man busted with more than 400 pounds of marijuana

BOONVILLE, N.C. — A Yadkin County man is in custody after detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office busted an indoor grow operation on Wednesday.

Osborne Greenhouse2 (3)Rickie George Osborne, 58, of Boonville, is charged with one count of felony manufacturing marijuana, two counts of felony trafficking in marijuana, one count of felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, one count felony maintain a dwelling and one count of possession of firearm by a convicted felon.

Detectives seized over 400 pounds of marijuana, with a street value of over $250,000, and two guns.

Osborne was released on a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Yadkin County District Court on Oct. 15.
