1,900 without power in Guilford Co. after fire

scenephotoJAMESTOWN, N.C. — A fire in Jamestown knocked out power to approximately 1,900 customers in High Point and Jamestown Monday evening.

The fire was reported from 6607 Bronze Rd. Crews were able to bring the fire under control but damage from the fire resulted in power outages, according to Guilford County Communications.

Crews are on scene working to restore power as of 9:45 p.m.

It is unclear how the fire caused the power outage.
