Who needs icing?

A new cake mapping technology from Disney premiered over the weekend at Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons Bridal Showcase at the Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World.

“Augmented Reality Cakes” were patented by Disney in 2012 and allow for digital, high-definition animations to be projected on cakes.

Using the projector and motion sensors, a moving image or message can be projected on the surface of the cake.

Videos of similar animated cakes have been posted on YouTube.

Michelle George Vazul posted video of the cake on Facebook on Saturday. The video has been shared over 110,000 times and has been watched 4.8 million times.
