UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Joshua Houser has been indicted by a grand jury on second-degree murder charges in Kilah Davenport’s death, WSOC reports.

In the beginning of September, the medical examiner determined the 4 year old died from pneumonia due to complications of remote blunt-force head injuries.

Her stepfather, Houser, is in prison after a jury convicted him of felony child abuse back in February.

Kilah was a victim of child abuse in 2012. She died earlier this year.

Kilah’s family told WSOC he should face more charges.
