Missing Alamance Co. teen located

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — A missing Alamance County teenager has been located, according to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office.

Jade Renee Rubright, 16, was reported missing on Sept. 24 by her grandmother.

Rubright was located during a traffic stop on Rock Creek Dairy Road at 12:30 p.m. Friday.

It was determined that Rubright had been in the Asheville area and was returning to the Alamance County area when the stop was made.

Rubright was in the company of Jordan Mahaley, 18, of Snow Camp. He was arrested on outstanding warrants for assault and probation violations.

Mahaley was placed in the Alamance County Detention Center under a $71,000 bond.

Rubright was returned to her her residence in Haw River.
