NEW YORK, N.Y. — A man was killed Tuesday at a Midtown construction site when he was crushed by a falling slab of concrete, according to officials.

It’s still unclear if the man was working on the site along West 37th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues at the time.

The site is a 14-story building, but EMS officials could not confirm which floor the concrete fell from.

The man, who has not been identified pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene around 1:30 p.m.

The FDNY confirmed that a building next to the site was evacuated as a precaution.
