AMSTERDAM — One airline is using a talented little Beagle to reunite passengers with their lost phones, jackets and anything else the accidentally leave behind.
A video shared by the Royal Dutch Airlines explains how some items are returned to their owners with the help of the adorable pup — appropriately named Sherlock — that sniffs them out.
Sherlock has been trained to get a good scent on the item and track its owners down before they leave the airport.
In the video, Sherlock is shown running around the airport reuniting passengers with their lost items before they realized they were even missing.
About 80 percent of lost items are returned to their owners, the airline said in a statement released by KLM Tuesday, but it doesn’t clarify how much of that is thanks to Sherlock.
