GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Police are investigating two homicides that happened Sunday evening in Greensboro.

Police first responded to a double shooting at about 9:30 p.m. on Covey Lane. One person was found dead on the scene and another was injured.

Police have identified the deceased victim as Michael Thomas Vandross, 27. He was taken to Moses Cone Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man who was injured has been identified as 31-year-old Kenneth Munn. He is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The relationship between the victims is unclear. Any motive for the shooting has not yet been determined. Police say they do not believe the shooting stemmed from a home invasion.

Police then responded to a shooting around 11:24 p.m. at Patio Place, where 64-year-old Charles Scott Douglas was found shot to death.

Investigators say they do not believe the shootings are connected at this time.

Last week, a man was shot during an armed robbery at the same building on Patio Place. The suspect shot him and then struck him in the head with a handgun, police say. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
