WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A motorcyclist who collided with a car in Winston-Salem Monday morning has died.

Pedro Martinez, 26, of Winston-Salem, died from injuries sustained in the crash that occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. at Brewer Road and Ethel Drive, Winston-Salem police said.

No one else was injured.

Police say Martinez was driving his Honda motorcycle south on Brewer Road when it collided with a Honda Accord. The Honda, which was driven by Lori Wyatt, also of Winston-Salem, was heading north on Brewer Road when it turned left onto Ethel Drive, police said.

Martinez was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in the collision.
