NC man accused of beating small dog

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A North Carolina man is accused of throwing a small dog against a wall and through a mirror.

WCNC-TV reported that 36-year-old William Alexander faces charges of misdemeanor animal cruelty after allegedly abusing the 8-year-old Pomeranian named “Sugarfoot.”

It allegedly happened Wednesday in Charlotte during some kind of domestic incident. Sugarfoot reportedly belonged to the suspect’s wife.

The dog was taken to “Peanut’s Place” rescue group and is recovering from injuries that include swelling, severe cuts, bruises and a concussion leaving head trauma.
