The robbery of a livery cab driver in East Harlem this past weekend was caught on camera. The police now hope the video — which shows a man aiming a gun at the driver — will help catch the suspect, reported WCBS.

The robbery occurred at about 2:55 a.m. Sunday on Madison Avenue near 135th Street, in the Abraham Lincoln Houses public housing development, police said.

The suspect got into the 26-year-old male victim’s cab, flashed a firearm, and demanded property, police said. The victim handed over $40 and a Samsung cellphone, and the suspect ran off into a nearby building.

The suspect was described as being about 23 years old, standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a dark complexion, police said. He was last seen wearing a brown hooded sweat shirt.
