Bodies of 5 children missing from SC found in Alabama

WILCOX COUNTY, Ala. — The bodies of five South Carolina children who have been missing since Sept. 3 were found Tuesday in a rural area of Wilcox County in Alabama, according to WSFA.

The bodies were found around 4 p.m. near the city of Camden.

The Lexington County (S.C.) Sheriff’s Department says the five children were between the ages of 1 to 8 and were reported missing after last being seen with their father.

According to WLBT, Tim Jones Jr. is in custody in Mississippi.

The children’s mother, who is divorced from Jones, reported the children missing to the sheriff’s department at 6:11 p.m. on Sept. 3.
