WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Three people were stabbed during an altercation at a nightclub in Winston-Salem early Monday morning.

Police responded to the incident around 1:30 a.m. at Ziggy's nightclub on West Ninth Street.

Two victims were transported to Baptist Hospital with stab wounds. A third victim arrived at the hospital with similar stab wounds he said he received during the same fight.

A man who said he witnessed the incident claims it started with a fight between two men. He said one of the men used a broken bottle to stab the other, but both ended up with stab wounds. The witness said three bouncers then responded to the fight, which ended with one of the bouncers being cut as well.

The witness believes one of the men listed as a victim by police is also the suspect.

All three are reported to be in stable condition. Their identities have not been released. However, FOX8 was on scene when a man wearing a security T-shirt was seen getting into a car with bandages on his hand.

The case is still under investigation.

The Winston-Salem Police Department requests that anyone with information regarding this crime contact Crime Stoppers at 727-2800.
