PINE LEVEL, N.C. — A North Carolina family of six is looking for a place to live after their home was destroyed by a fire.

The Pine Level homeowner briefly spoke with WTVD-TV and says she lost everything. Money, medicine, and personal belongings are now all destroyed.

“I heard a big boom, and it sounded like an earthquake. And I just saw them come out,” said eyewitness Luis Galan.

Galan lives right next door. He says it was around 2 p.m. Saturday when he was startled by what sounded like an explosion. Neighbors in the mobile home park started pouring out of their homes.

“It turned to complete chaos,” said Galan.

He saw the family of six running out of the home. He says one woman then turned around to go move her car, which was parked right near the flames.

“She was getting the keys right there,” said Galan. “It felt like it was about to explode because I heard like steaming.”
