LAURINBURG, N.C. – Cam Newton surprised an injured high school quarterback with a visit to the hospital, according to TMZ.

Newton visited Scotland quarterback Jaylend Ratliffe at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte on Thursday. Ratliffe is recovering from a serious brain injury from an ATV accident.

The high school senior has been offered a full scholarship to Georgia Tech. He fractured his skull in the crash on July 30. It remains uncertain when he’ll play football again.
