WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Winston-Salem Industries for the Blind is getting almost $1 million to expand its education center and community services.

The donation comes from an organization that calls itself the “Miracles in Sight” eye bank.

The $950,000 will be used in Winston-Salem to help those who have low vision or who are blind find jobs and training.

The money will also help expand the Industries for the Blind resource center and pay for a rehabilitation bus that’ll travel from the Piedmont to Asheville to provide the blind training and resources.
