Two Winston-Salem men caught with more than 70 pounds of marijuana

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Two men arrested earlier this month as part of a marijuana trafficking investigation were in possession of $200,000 worth of marijuana, Winston-Salem Police said.

On Aug. 5, police search a residence at 2012 K Court Ave., and found the two men to be in possession of 70.22 pounds of marijuana.

Jessie E. Taylor, 66,  of the same address, was charged with trafficking marijuana.

Gary B. Thomas, 46, of 2042 K Court Ave., was charged with trafficking marijuana and conspiracy to traffic marijuana.

Both men are being held in jail under a $5,000 bond each.
