The incident happened around 7:45 p.m. Monday, at a house in the 900 block of 3rd Avenue North.

WBTW reported that the fight began when Darrell Ray McKnight, 64, who routinely sleeps on the porch of the house, came inside while intoxicated and “passed gas” in a woman’s face while she was sleeping on the couch.

Jessica Annette Cerney, 33, then walked outside to get away from him, but he followed her and began threatening her, police say.

It was reported that during the argument, Cerney then pummeled the man with her fist.

McKnight was transported to the hospital for his injuries.

Cerney was not injured.

They were both charged with disorderly conduct fighting/force company on another.
