CONCORD, N.C. — Allegiant Air announced Tuesday morning that they will offer new flights in and out of Concord Regional Airport.

The airline had said for months that it wanted to add more destinations in Florida.

Starting in November, Allegiant Airlines will be offering nonstop flights twice a week from Concord to Tampa/St. Petersburg. This is based on the success it’s already had with flights to Orlando.

In December, Allegiant became the first scheduled commercial carrier to serve Concord when it operated its first flight to Orlando/Sanford.

More than 20,000 passengers have flown in and out of Concord since Allegiant began operations.
