A new TV show featuring North Carolina fishermen competing against “invading” Yankees premiers on Sunday.

The Outer Banks Voice reported that “Wicked Tuna: North Vs. South” was met with cheers during a standing-room only sneak preview Thursday in Manteo.

The show is a spinoff of National Geographic Channel’s popular fishing program “Wicked Tuna” and was shot last winter off Hatteras and Oregon Inlet.

“It’s a whole new battlefield and the Northern captains must conquer new styles of fishing, treacherous waters and the wrath of the Outer Banks’ top fishermen,” according to the TV show’s description.

A large bluefin, prized for sushi, can be worth $10,000 or more, according to the Outer Banks Voice.

The spinoff show premiers at 10 p.m. Sunday on National Geographic Channel.
