Cable installer accused of stealing diamond ring from NC home

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — A Raleigh cable installer is accused of stealing a diamond ring from a Johnston County home, according to WTVD-TV.

Russell Wright Jr., 42, was charged with felony larceny after police said a diamond ring worth $2,700 went missing from a home he was at.

The victim reportedly told police that the ring went missing from his home after the suspect left.

Wright doesn’t work for Time Warner Cable, but is employed by a contractor who is authorized to install cable for the company.

The suspect was placed in the Johnston County Jail under a $20,000 bond. He has court planned for Aug. 28.
