LabCorp plane damaged after colliding with deer in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. — A LabCorp plane was damaged when it collided with a deer while trying to take off from Burlington-Alamance Regional Airport on Thursday.

The Burlington Times-News is reporting the collision happened around 4:30 a.m. as the plane was getting ready to head to New Jersey.

The pilot was the only one on board. He was not injured.

Officials say about a 100 gallons of fuel spilled and significant damage was caused to the plane.
