In partnership with UNC Health Care, the Hayworth Cancer Center at High Point Regional offers a range of treatment options for patients utilizing the best course of radiation treatment using advanced technologies.  The physician experts are members of the UNC medical staff and will customize a plan to meet the lifestyle of each patient.

Cancer Hospital and the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center to the facilities in High Point.  They collaborate with the team of specialists to bring you quality care, close to home.

Patients who choose the Hayworth Cancer Center as their cancer care provider can rest assured that they will receive the most comprehensive, individualized care available anywhere. Through a unique partnership between physician practices and High Point Regional Health, a specialized Oncology Care Team assesses each patient’s unique needs and provides needed resources, education and guidance. The Care Team is available to the patient and their family in all treatment settings, whether inpatient, outpatient or physicians’ offices.

Radiation Oncologists

Mohit Kasibhatla, M.D. - Dr. Kasibhatla graduated from Duke University Medical School.  He completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital and a residency in radiation oncology at Duke University Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident.  Dr. Kasibhatla served as Assistant Professor, Radiation Oncology Section, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire and was on staff in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Duke University Medical Center.  Before moving to High Point, Dr. Kasibhatla practiced at Roger Williams Hospital and was Director of Radiosurgery for 21st Century Oncology  in Providence, RI.  He is board-certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology.  His areas of special interest are head and neck, genito-urinary, lung and gynecologic malignancies.  He has considerable expertise in the use of radiosurgery to treat early stage lung cancer and brain tumors.   Dr. Kasibhatla is an Associate Professor in the UNC Department of Radiation Oncology.

Heather Pacholke, M.D. -  Dr. Pacholke earned her medical degree from the Indian University School of Medicine in Bloomington, Indiana.  Her residency in radiation oncology was completed at the University of Florida School of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida where she was Chief Resident.  She is an Associate Professor in the UNC Department of Radiation Oncology.  Dr. Pacholke served as Medical Director of the Hope Cancer Care Center in Longmont, Colorado.  Most recently, she worked at the Levine Cancer Institute – Albemarle where she was the medical director of the Roy M. Hinson Cancer Center.  She is board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology.
