GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are investigating after a human skull was found in a Greensboro neighborhood on Sunday.

According to the News & Record, residents of Park Place Townhomes off Battleground Avenue were surprised to find part of a human skull in the street.

But, police say they have not found any evidence of a crime.

A resident made the discovery as he was leaving his home.

An officer found another piece of skull, a lower jaw, about 50 feet away from where the upper half was spotted.

Police believe the skull came out of a school’s science lab. They plan to send it to the State Bureau of Investigation for further examination.
