Slippery roads partially to blame for early morning wrecks in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Officials said wet roads are partially to blame for three different crashes early Sunday morning in Fayetteville, according to WTVD-TV.

Authorities said the first happened on Gillies Hill Road where the driver reportedly hydroplaned. The driver and another passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Slippery roads were also to blame for a 2-vehicle crash at Cliffdale Road and Mcpherson Church Road. The vehicles were reportedly pretty banged up.

Police also responded to a crash on Bragg Boulevard and Cain Road in which the driver hydroplaned and hit a pole. The driver was hospitalized with minor injuries, according to authorities.
