Carlos Fields, a former player at WSSU, will make NFL debut tonight

Carlos Fields, a four-year starter for Winston-Salem State, will make his NFL debut as a rookie tonight for the Oakland Raiders, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

Fields, one of the best linebackers in school history, was an undrafted free agent pick up by the Raiders and he is trying to make the team by excelling on special teams.

During his four seasons the Rams went 45-6 and were two-time CIAA champions.
