Winston-Salem gas station robbed twice in one month, clerk assaulted

Peters Creek BP (WGHP)

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — For the second time in less than a month, a BP station on Peters Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem has been robbed.

Police say someone entered the Peters Creek BP station around 2:03 a.m. pointed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. After the suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash, police say the suspect assaulted the clerk then fled the area.

The clerk was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Last month, police say William Hardy Jr. walked into a the same gas station with a butcher knife and tried to steal money. He was arrested a short time later.

The investigation is ongoing.
