WASHINGTON, D.C. — Former Washington, D.C. mayor and current city council member Marion Barry told a reporter she doesn’t “know a damn thing about Washington, D.C.” during a recent interview.

FOX5 reporter Emily Miller was asking Barry about several unpaid parking tickets.

Barry said, “Whatever I owe, I paid,” but said he does not know how much he owed. When Miller told him he failed to pay parking tickets for at least two years, he said “So what?”

The Washington Times reported earlier this week that Barry’s car was impounded after he was involved in a crash where he was at fault. His car was later released after he paid $1,700 in unpaid parking tickets.
