$5,000 reward offered for help solving 2013 murder of Rockingham Co. man

MAYODAN, N.C. — Gov. Pat McCrory announced that the state is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Daniel Wayne Turner in 2013.

Mayodan police responded to 213 W. Washington St. around 2:20 a.m. on Feb. 14, 2013, and found Turner, 40, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Turner was transported to the hospital and later died as a result of his injury.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Rockingham County Crime Stoppers at 336-349-9683.
