Virginia dad, abducted 3-year-old son may be headed to NC

PATRICK COUNTY, Va. — A Virginia dad and his reportedly abducted 3-year-old son may be headed to North Carolina, according to WRAL.

An Amber Alert was issued for the child on Tuesday.

Tommy Lee Able Engle, 3, has reportedly been abducted by his father, 34-year-old Tommy Lee Travis Engle.

The boy’s father has made suicidal and homicidal threats toward law enforcement. He may be armed with an AK-47 and a ballistics vest.

They may be traveling in a navy blue 2001 Dodge Neon with Virginia registration WNZ-9169.

Anyone that sees the two or the vehicle is asked to immediately contact the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office at 276-694-3161.
