Man shot during drive-by shooting in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man was shot as he stood near the front of a home on Phillips Avenue in Greensboro early Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the shooting around 2:01 a.m. to find the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim told police he was standing inside the home, near the front when several rounds were fired from outside.

The suspect was last seen on Phillips Avenue heading east towards Huffine Mill Road in a dark sedan. There is no description of the suspect available at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
